Spacefinish x Wema Hackathon: The Hackaholics Experience

Wema Bank is on a mission to redefine the banking experience in Nigeria through groundbreaking fintech solutions. After creating Nigeria’s first digital bank, ALAT, Wema Bank took solutions a step further with Hackaholics, a hackathon aimed at galvanizing the tech ecosystem to surface the best fintech solutions.

Spacefinish had the pleasure of designing the Hackathon Hall to give users the best event experience. We implemented HTML elements into most of the wall designs to tailor the space to users and make it more familiar.

For our furniture suggestions, we started by breaking down the activities each of the Hackathon attendees will engage in and the kind of furniture best suited for those activities. We designed seating arrangements to suit every requirement of the developers and judges alike; participants could use the group table for collaboration or the seater bar table for fast focused work. With confidential deliberation in mind, we designed to function as a group seating area for the judges.

A microchip is the brain and nerve center of any electronic device. A chip can be programmed to process complex instructions in no time by overlapping circuits which handle each stage of a clock cycle process. The microchip pattern replicated on the wall was created to inspire the participants of the Wema Hackathon event to solve complex problems and arrive at winning solutions in record time.
